Fancy Teapot

Hand-painted Fancy Teapot, painted by my Mother with some gold attached to it.

This one was a little challenging to complete due to the need for additional editing of the gold in the texture to ensure accuracy, as the cross-polarisation was not accurately representing the colour, especially since it was a metal paint rather than a more standard element to work with.

The scan was processed with Lightroom and Photo alignment, and Mesh construction was done using Metashape. Unfortunately, Reality Capture is causing my PC to crash so hard that it loses its boot order memory. So, looking to upgrade my PC later in the year.

Textures in 8K for high detail close-ups.

Unreal Engine 5 and Path Tracer were used for the rendering. I included a “LookDev” setup so people can see a more raw representation of the teapot without the artistic flair. Also rendered with Path Tracer and in Unreal Engine 5.
